ay 4 marks the final leg of the Shikoku cycling journey, completing the full island loop! Starting in Sukumo (Kochi) and ending in Matsuyama (Ehime), this ride covered 164.06 km in 6 hours 18 minutes, with 1,443 meters of elevation gain.
The route was packed with scenic inland valleys, coastal detours, and numerous tunnels cutting through Shikoku’s rugged terrain. Strong headwinds dominated the first 100 km, making for a demanding start, but the weather remained clear and the landscapes breathtaking.
