So he’s going to he’s going to kiss me later. It’s all happening over there. It’s here for just 30 minutes. unloads everything, loads everything on and goes. The bicycle needs to wait until the bloody end does not make sense. Jesus in the This is us. We’re in here to wait for your snoring video. I’ got to say smoke coming out of those things. It’s time to go. Right. Freedom. Here we are in Tokushima. Think a little island like this would have all this traffic, would you? Where’s the family mark? Well, you’d think on a little island like this there wouldn’t be so many people driving around, would you? I mean, where are they going? For God’s sake, there’s nowhere to go. Okay. Whoa. Now we’re out of the city or the town or whatever it is and into the countryside. I’m thinking down there maybe much more interesting. Hey, down here is going to be more interesting. Yeah, look at that. Oh my god. Or is it? No, maybe not. No. Nice [Music] coastline. Bull fighting shrine there. and climb the mountain. Can Nigel get up it with this wibbly wobbly bike. Front end is taking off from the ground. Holy crap. It is steep. It’s got to be 25 30%. Going to make a segment here. anyone’s ever done this. It’s turned to gravel now. And not for long. We’re getting onto the main road again. God, Peter’s going to be cursing me now after that. Here comes Peter after that vicious, vicious climb. I kind of snoozed. Should have come from there. Really, it’s 31° going up this monster hill. We’ve suffered in freezing conditions and now sweltering conditions. There’s a [ __ ] dementor here. Look, it’s dement. Quick, let’s get out of here. It’s interesting down there. Real jungle. Wow, that is thick jungle in there. To the right, probably back to the coast. Noises coming from the forest. There’s the mountain bike trail. Camu yaki forest. Out of the main drag now. Surprised we end up on gravel soon. Gravel. Peter’s happy. Oh [ __ ] it’s gravel. I think the whole thing is going to be gravel from now on. A bigger road. We have the strangest flower in the world. Never ending weird [ __ ] around here. Look. Never seen that before. This is the perfect coffee stop, isn’t it? It’s time for coffee. Coffee time. Young Peter’s stuffing himself with sweet beans and I’m going to have a quason. After about 10 years of nagging from me, you know what he’s done? He’s finally got his own cup. Look at that. And he and he actually uses it in the convenience store sometimes. I forget I have it. And um so there you go Carl, it’s your turn next. Get your cup. God, there’s a whole field of dementas over there. Are in a muggy. Well, there looks like a town ahead. And uh by the AC the prettiest buildings around here in a [Music] mag dog arch. Here we come. Now what are we going to see down here? I wonder some kind of observatory here. fishies. Yeah, time for a pee. Oh, look at that nice beach there. Welcome to Tokoshima. Wow, what a view. Fantastic. Here goes Peter down there running. God, look at that. That’s pretty spectacular. My god, look at this place. It is seriously. Wow. Look at all those spiky rocks. Let’s uh head back. It’s super grippy this stuff. Shred your shoes, no problem. This be great place to camp, wouldn’t it? Nice and sheltered. Oh, look at that. That’s weird. What is that? [Applause] And here we are in tonight’s accommodation. God, look. You’ve got an arch. Are you sure? Not this. Nope. We got the wrong one. Maybe it’s this place. So, someone lives there. This is it. We found it at last. This is our abode for the night. It’s a mere 10,000 yen for two or as many as you like, it seems. Got a table outside, place to wash your bike, nice big deck. It’s got uh you wait till you see the inside of this place. It is fantastic. Just look at it. It is It’s got your Japanese room here. There’s even a little thing for little kitties to play in. Open that. Let some light in. This is uh this will be Nigel’s bedroom. Wow, look at this place. And you’ve got uh two beds there. Bed here. I might sleep in one of these, you know. Oh, you grabbed that one. That one. This is yours. I think he made the must have made the bed for two of us here. We’re not sleeping in the same room tonight. No way. Wow. Doesn’t look like there’s any uh any uh futons. So, sleep on the kitchen. Nice table. Fridge. Dinner later. Fridge has got some sauces, oil. Perfect. Can even fry your onions. Shower. Washing. Man, I tell you what, I want to buy this house. How much would it cost to buy it? I want it. I want this house.
