The Real Beauty of South Africa 🇿🇦 vA 177

I ride from the beautiful Simon’s Town to Muizenberg, on a beautiful day, along False Bay. After a last glimpse at the penguins, I meet a runner who very excited by meeting me. As I continue my way through Muizenberg, I find a nice man who gives some advice in order to remain safe in the area, he wants to make sure that I don’t end up going into the wrong neighborhoods.
The next day, a friend of the friends who hosted me in Muizenberg drops me in Strand, and I resume my way towards Hermanus via the cloudy but breathtaking Clarence drive. As I arrive in Betty’s Bay, I enjoy, again, the unusual company of the Cape Penguins.

  1. Aaaw Yves, I'm so sad you didn't cycle through Somerset West, where I live. But Strand is close enough, I suppose 😊 I'm glad you loved our little corner of the world so much. And so happy the people of Cape Town gave you the welcome you deserve. Never been prouder to be Capetonian and South African. There's still so much staggering beauty ahead as you leave the Western Cape and SA, and I'm excited to see your reaction to it all.

  2. Greetings from Melbourne. Thank you for doing such a great job of showcasing my city of birth. Cape Town. Cape Point, Simon's Town, Muizenberg is where I spent my growing up years. Was great to see Glencairn Beach again where I did my very first wave ride.

  3. This is so breathtaking, peaceful, amazing, incredible, fantastic and many more to describe this kind of exploration of the beauty of South Africa 💚 🔝🇿🇦 # GOD's creation is the best 💯

  4. Yves,
You are a long way off from sleeping in a cell tower fenced-in area to protect you from being eaten by Lions!
