To a craft person, as I am, this beautiful work Is mesmerising. I cannot imagine the cost because as with many artistic endeavors you can never get It' full value.
I think the guy could use at least a couple dozen spring clamps, holding the glue joint with pliers while waiting for the glue to set makes no sense to me.

So very nice to watch a Master craftsman and this young man is unassuming and gentle I wish him well those who know quality when they see it will buy don't need to be convinced its genuine
Crafts like this from Japan are simply the best of their kind. I wish I had been born Japanese, into a family that made items like these. I could make things with my hands all day long and be completely satisfied.

これ難しいですよね。なるほど、上を作ってから編んでいくのですね。そして和紙を張る。素人はこんなにきちんと編めません。祖父の代から受け継がれている。日本の伝統を受け継いでくださってありがとうございます。
昨年は、柿が不作でできなかった柿渋。今年は、実生を使い、作りたいと思います。
米袋でも、柿渋を塗れば丈夫になりますよね。
また、素人向けのワークショツプの動画とかもあれば、見せていただけたら真似してみたくなるかも、って思いました。
