Day 1 – 香港至土浦市

今次的單車基本上是沒有什麼規劃，事源有些航空公司里數就快到期，所以兌現了張東京來回機票。

整個行程有七日，會用壹天半時間環霞之浦，東京會騎半天，如果天氣許可會去河口湖騎壹天。其他時間在東京逛街hea下。

早上10時許日航的班機，由於國泰兌換機票沒有晨早的航班，只能選擇了日航。網上check-in選擇了左邊窗口位，希望抵達東京前能看到富士山。可惜雲層很厚，事與願違，唯有回程時才試試吧。

航班不太滿，我旁邊都沒有人坐。日航的座位比國泰窄，午餐都是一般，只是多了杯麵豉湯。大概四時許便抵達成田機場，入境的遊客不算多，入境手續只花了壹小時左右。

五時許拿了行李出來便去購買巴士票去土浦市，如果乘搭火車就需在東京外圍轉車，時間更長。17:55開車，大概7時半左右便抵達土浦站東口，酒店就在車站對面。

辦好入住手續，將行李放在房內便去車站旁的便利店買點東西。酒店有免費咖喱飯免費供應，在房內吃了些咖哩飯，便拆箱砌車，準備明天的行程。

Day 1 – Hong Kong to Tsuchiura City

There was basically no plan for this cycling trip. The reason was that some airline mileage was about to expire, so I cashed in a round-trip ticket to Tokyo.

The entire trip lasted seven days, including one and a half days to go around Kasumigaura, half a day to ride in Tokyo, and one day to Lake Kawaguchi if the weather permited. And then spending the rest of the time shopping in Tokyo.

It was a Japan Airlines flight at around 10 a.m., because Cathay Pacific did not have an early morning flight for redemption tickets, I had to choose Japan Airlines. I checked in online and chose the window seat on the left, hoping to see Mount Fuji before arriving in Tokyo. Unfortunately, the clouds were thick and it didn’t work as expected. I had to try it on my return trip.

The flight was not too full and there was no one sitting next to me. The seats on JAL are narrower than those on Cathay Pacific, and the lunches are average except for an extra cup of miso soup. We arrived at Narita Airport around 4p.m.. There were not many tourists entering the airport, and the immigration process only took about an hour.

At around 5 p.m., I took out my luggage and went to buy a bus ticket to Tsuchiura City. If I took the train, I would have to transfer outside Tokyo, which would take longer. The bus departed at 17:55 and arrived at the east exit of Tsuchiura Station around 7:30 p.m.. The hotel is right opposite the station.

After checking in, I put my luggage in the room and went to the convenience store next to the station to buy something. The hotel provides free curry rice. After eating some curry rice in the room, I unpacked the bike and prepared for tomorrow’s trip.
