March 24, 2025 – Japan Rides (Minobu Backroads)
Today we would explore the backroads of my wife’s home town of Minobu. I thought that she was familiar with all of the local routes but this particular one was foreign to her. Living in Canada most of her adult life, I’m truly amazed that she still possesses so much knowledge of the lay of the land here. As we meandered along the road we came upon an exhilarating downhill section that wound its way down to the district of Nakayama. We eventually made our way back to the busier thoroughfare of Route #52 towards home. Quite a contrast to the quiet confines of the rural roads.
