China’s STEEPEST Mountain – Huashan 🏔️ I S2, EP 114

Flo and I set off on an adventure to Mount Huashan, China’s steepest and most thrilling mountain, renowned for its infamous plank walk—a challenge we were eager to take on. Unfortunately, the walk was closed for maintenance, leaving us to admire the mountain’s breathtaking scenery from other trails.
From Huashan, we traveled to Sanmenxia, a lesser-known gem in Henan Province, nestled along the Yellow River. This hidden city is home to remarkable cave dwellings dating back to the Qing Dynasty—underground homes built beneath the earth, offering a glimpse into a unique and ancient way of life.
Join us as we explore the unseen side of China! 🎬

  1. Hi Yan & Flo From Phoenix, AZ. U.S.A We love watching your adventures! We have also grown to have an affection for you like you're our friend. Your videos are so sweet and it makes us laugh because of how much you love food, and are always SO happy when you stumble upon a noodle shop! You are an angel!
    Regards from Carl & Cathy.

  2. Looks like the Corcovado. Perhaps you guys could build a statue of Confucious, Lao Tsé or Buddha and place on top of it. That would be cool!

    Greetings from Brazil!

  3. Thanks Yan and Flo for showing Hua shan to fans from afar. Stay strong healthy little Yan and big Flo . The scenery is epic indeed. Take a good rest after hard hiking trip. Flo is awarded a medal for his clever souvenir's bargaining. Grandpa's underground house is wonderful beautiful. God bless your brave excursions. ❤🙏💐👍😊🎉❤🐈‍⬛

  4. I've lived near Sanmenxia over 10 years and visited those houses a handful of times but I have never seen much about them in travel blogs etc. You got some golden info from that old gentlemen and answered a few things I've always wondered about. I last went out to those houses probably 2 years ago and there were quite a few of them still in use, although the number is rapidly dropping. Hopefully you are coming to Luoyang soon!

  5. Wow! What an amazing place, and what an amazing place again that you went on a whim! 😀 Thank you for the video <3

  6. You said it…breath-taking. So the paintings of partial mountain tops and buildings within them are, in fact, reality. Cheers to you from Alberta Canada.

  7. Me as a Finn, like your videos very much. I like your contacts with the locals and that you tell their stories and try local dishes.
Thank you for sharing your adventures❤.

  8. Another fantastic experience!! I am definitely living in the wrong country. Wish I was much younger and could visit China. Thank you so much for making these fascinating videos.

  9. What a great video, dear Yan! I enjoyed so much! ❤
Sacred Mountains are beautiful places, and all an adventure for everybody! First time I see that "underground houses": the grandpa looks to me so calm, pacific and wise… ❤😊
Thank you again for this New adventure! 🙏💞⚘ (and drone pics are amazing!)

  10. Nothing like a good hike in the mountains…especially above 10,000ft! Great vid. Grand Mountains. Beautiful scenery. Mad respect for those brave folks who built the paths & steps….woooohooooo. Great bridge structures noted over Yellow River. Engineering masterpiece. Friendly Grandpa & as usual, great local food.

  11. As usual, wonderful production, especially the drone shots. I am wondering, are there many accidents/falls off the paths? I couldn’t even come close, since I have extreme acrophobia.

  12. I'm amazed at all the houses or buildings up top of that steep mountain. Do people live up there? Yan, maybe a year ago or more, you took a cliff walk. I remember it well! You did it solo holding on to chains affixed to the rock cliff & you were pretty scared, but you did it!

  13. Really cool and beautiful. Majestic. Imagine the people building these trails and buildings. I’m sure most were dedicated.

  14. Another amazing video Yan and Flo!!!! The most enjoyable, fun thing for me to do while living in China was to go to the antique market each week and bargain with the merchants!!! I bought so many things I did not want or need just to bargain with them.
Flashing numbers with their fingers, clutching their heart like you are giving them a coronary and finally resignation as they shake hands and ask you not to come back!!!! Just delightful. The grandfather who invited you into his home was a perfect example of the kindest, most noble people in the world, the elderly Chinese. Great video, you have made me miss China with all my heart!!!

  15. It makes one wonder why it is so much intrigue , that Yan & Flo climb up so high, where only Angels & Golden Eagles fly, above that rugged pinnacles jagged & high, with much beauty it nearly makes you cry, but Yan & Flo made it with gasping air, a stop going up here & there, the air is thin as you reach the sky, then just like that ,Yan & Flo headed down with a grin ,met many people on their way, it was happiness in their hearts, it shows you what you can do, if you have the will to have a go, what made this climb up the mountain so special was to meet Elderly Grandmas with the heart to climb & smile to greet Yan & Flo with, next it was time to travel to Sanmenxia ,Yan & Flo was of to see the underground houses, on riding around on the Moto Bike Yan & Flo met an Elderly Farmer who had taken down that tunnel way to his under ground home & showed them around it was with pride for him to tell his story, Now Yan can send around the world ,showing the different cultures of her native China, for me country people are so friendly they are the back bone of any country, on Yan & Flo last stop restaurant in Sanmenxia, they ordered Noodles & Lamb Soup with Crispy sandwich with veggies & Pork, Yum, Great video Yan & Flo, this time the video left me speechless, the spectacular views left me Awe Bound, thank you again Yan, for the coverage of your China I will never see, on that note Cheers & Best Wishes God Bless & Keep Safe , Regards Trevor.W.Bacelli. 16. The places that you show are truly special. I feel so calm watching you travel. Thank you so much for posting your videos. I continue to learn more and more about a country I one day hope I can visit. ❤

  17. That was spectacular as always. But why did you have to wave that noodle lamb dish in front of me at the end? Now I'm starving.
