Going Rome: 90,000 km and counting

Cycling the world – Europe: 185 episode
In this episode of my round-the-world bike tour, I wake up near Bolsena after stealth camping under the roof of an unfinished house. Continuing along the Via Francigena towards Rome, I tackle a series of small, steep climbs through picturesque villages and muddy dirt roads. During the day, I celebrate reaching the incredible milestone of 90,000 km since starting my journey in 2015. Passing through endless hazelnut farms, I camp for the night in a vast field. The next day, despite another wet tent, I ride towards Rome, navigating more short climbs before entering the city via a convenient bike lane. My journey takes me to Vatican City, marking the 62nd country of my adventure.

  2. I just started following you and wanted to say congratulations on 90,000km. Also I would like to know about your setup. I especially like your handlebars.

  3. Do the farmers not get angry when you take a few items? I have been cycling around Italy for a couple of years now and think "maybe the farmer wouldn't care if I grabbed an apple or fig" but then I also think they may get annoyed.

  4. 2:54 He was talking about these roads while I was reading world history. I feel lucky to be watching it right now. Thanks for sharing, bro. Is there a trace sharing of these roads?

  5. Grandissimo Davide… sempre interessanti i tuoi viaggi e di grande ispirazione… "salùda mia papagal" 😂saluti da Bergamo!
