KODO Day One: Yamanashi
Invited for a once in a lifetime experience, we flew to Japan to ride the legendary and ancient “Kodo” trails. Over hundreds of years old, these tracks were used for many things throughout the history of Japan–by the samurais to the lords, the farmers to the craftsmen, and even the kamoshikas and the inoshishis.
Having been introduced to these mystical lines has transformed us deeply and we won’t reveal too much in this four-part series. Not just to not spoil the surprises, but also to maintain the power of the experience out of a profound respect to the land, the energy, and the beings in it.
