Cycling To The South Of Taiwan (Biking Taiwan Day 9)

So… We decided to take a train in Taiwan. We’re supposed to be cycling the entire Island of Taiwan BUT we’re running out of time if we want to stop along the way. So we’re taking a train from Tainan to Kenting National Park.

It’s all a part of the adventure and fun and we were shocked at how easy, affordable and convenient taking a train in Taiwan is, especially when you have a bike!

If you didn’t know, Taiwan actually has a dedicated cycling route that circumferences the entire island, it’s called Cycling Route 1, and this is what we will be following (with a couple of detours) over the next three weeks.

Cycling Route 1 can be done in just 9 days for those who are really looking for a challenge, but we want to explore all the stops along the way so we’re adding extra days to ensure we not only get challenged but also get to travel Taiwan in the most unique way possible!
