Midosuji is the main street that runs through the center of Osaka, opened in 1937.
The Midosuji illuminations began in 2009 and this will be their 16th event.
The Midosuji illuminations were recognized as a world record in 2015.
The history that formed the foundation of the city’s current development is unraveled for each area and expressed through the illuminations.

Aqua Metropolis Blue: Hanshin-mae to Umeda-Shinmichi
A vibrant blue that evokes the waters of the Dojima River, which once extended all the way to Umeda

Purple: Umeda Shinmichi to Oebashi Kitazume
Image of a glamorous town bustling with entertainment for government officials and merchants

White: Kitahama-3 to Fushimimachi-3
Image of the vigor of the Dojima rice market about 200 years ago, which led to the town becoming a financial district

Champagne Gold: Fushimimachi-3 to SembaChuo-3

御堂筋イルミネーションを「OSAKA SKY VISTA」 特別便の2階建てオープンデッキバスでバスガイドによる見どころを聞きながら観光します。

御堂筋は1937年に開通した大阪の中心部を貫くメインストリートです。
御堂筋イルミネーションは2009年に始まり今回が16回目です。2015年に世界記録に認定されました。
現在の街の発展の基盤となった歴史をエリアごとに紐解き、イルミネーションで表現しています。

水都ブルー：阪神前～梅田新道
かつては梅田までつながっていたという、堂島川の水をイメージした鮮やかな青

パープル：梅田新道～大江橋北詰
役人や商人をもてなす花街としてにぎわった、華やかな街のイメージ

ホワイト：北浜３～伏見町３
金融の街になるきっかけとなった約200年前の堂島米市場の活気をイメージ

シャンパンゴールド：伏見町３～船場中央３
大阪城下の中心として繁栄した商人の街を、ゴージャスな光で表現

ミックス：久太郎町３～新橋北
繊維産業を中⼼に発展した街を、様々な色の光を折り重ねて表現

ピンク：御堂筋鰻谷 〜 御堂筋三津寺町
「ミナミ」の由来となった南地五花街の賑わいが弾ける華やかなカラー

5色ミックス：道頓堀橋南詰 〜 難波西口
芝居小屋が立ち並び多様な文化の中心地として発展した街を表現
