Surviving the Tuscany Trail: stormy days & steep hills
Cycling the world – Europe: 180 episode
In this episode of my round-the-world bike tour, I continue my bikepacking journey on the Tuscany Trail, leaving the historic city of Lucca behind. The day is marked by a series of steep hills and the looming threat of stormy weather. As I reach the iconic rolling hills of Tuscany, the rain starts—a relentless cycle of showers and thunderstorms. In Fabbrica, I find refuge under the porch of a palace, where I spend the night sheltered from the storm. The next day, delayed by morning showers, I arrive in Lajatico, the home town of Andrea Bocelli, and visit the Teatro del Silenzio, where Bocelli performs each summer. After more storms, I continue on to the stunning hilltop town of Volterra, where I settle in for the night.

0:32 it's annoying things like this that can get me all worked up for the whole day. Sometimes i get a headache not because of pushing the bike or smth, but because I'm just annoyed that i have to push it
Hi Davide, I'm glad you made it clear over the difference between schiacciata e focaccia, you seriously avoided an online lynching.
loved the "zio cane" moment.
safe trails
damn, this tuscany trail looks absolutely gorgeous! do you think it's doable on a gravel bike?
So nice 😊
