A Japanese Odyssey: a solo female cyclist of advanced years cycles from Soyamisaki, the northernmost point of Hokkaido, to Satamisaki, the southernmost point of Kyushu, and on to Okinawa.
In this segment, she crosses the dangerous Oyashirazu Cliffs with its contingent of shy monkeys, bikes along the Toyama Bay, and cycles to Kanazawa with its magnificent Kenroku-en Garden. On the way, she shelters from the sun in an air-conditioned mall and shows how to keep her bicycle secure while enjoying a luxurious lunch.
