[ 2024 Shikoku 1000 ] [ 四国一周 ] [ Day 9 – Sukumo to Seiyo ] [ 宿毛至西予 ]

今日行程相對輕鬆，只是80多幾里，加上預訂的酒店只能4時才check-in，所以8時左右才出發。
大概10公里處正在爬坡時，遇見昨天在宿毛道の駅的3個日本人，他們騎RB肯定比我快，大家大家講聲おはようございます（早晨）後，他們便揚長而去。抵達第一個蓋章點道の駅MIC時，他們也正在離開。
今日有不少30-50米爬坡，碼錶顯示有11個超過50米的爬坡，總爬升890米。不過日本好多爬坡去到中便有隧道，可省回不少氣力。
大概60公里後便抵達道の駅宇和島，又碰到那3個日本人吃完午飯正要離開。既然這麼有緣當然大家互相拍照作記念，希望明天去松山途中再見到。
在道の駅內的餐廳吃午餐，跟著休息了大半個鐘2時左右才出發去西予，因為只是20多公里。抵達西予前有個100多米的爬米，要穿越7個小隧道，由於沒有人行道及緩上坡，要出盡力去踩希望快快完成。
穿越壹條超過1公里長的隧道便是下坡去西予。第三個蓋章點道の駅 どんぶり館就在80公里處，距離今日預訂的酒店只需15分鐘。
酒店在西予舊街道上，典型商務酒店，附近沒有什麼食肆，只能徒步500米去便利店或超市買東西吃了。

Today’s itinerary was relatively easy, just over 80km, and the hotel I booked could only check-in at 4pm, so I set off aty around 8 o’clock.
When I was climbing uphill at about 10km, I met three Japanese cyclists who were riding RB of whom I met them at the Road Station Sukumo Road yesterday. They were faster than me on RB. After saying “morning”, they speeded away. When I arrived at the first stamped station MIC, they were also leaving.
There were quite a few climbs of 30-50m today, and the Garmin showed 11 climbs over 50m, with a total climb of 890m. However, many climbs in Japan have tunnels in the middle, which can save a lot of energy.
After about 60km, I arrived at Roadside Station Uwajima Kisaiya Hiroba and met the same Japanese cyclists who were about to leave after lunch. Since it was such occasion, of course we took photos of each other as a commeration. I hoped to see them again on the way to Matsuyama tomorrow.
I had lunch at a restaurant and rested for most of an hour before setting off to Seiyo at about 2:00pm, because it was only about 20km away. There was a climb of more than 100m before arriving in Seiyo, and you had to go through 7 small tunnels. Since there were no sidewalks and also gentle uphill, I havd to work hard to climb and hope to finish it quickly.
Passing through a tunnel more than 1km long and it was the descent to Seiyo. The third stamped spot is Road side rest area Donburi Hall, which was 80km mark and only 15 minutes away from the hotel reserved today.
The hotel was located on the old streets of Seiyo. It was a typical business hotel. There were no restaurants nearby so I walked 500m to convenience store or supermarket to buy something to eat.
