Walking Oirase Mountain Stream in Aomori’s representative Mother Nature National Park, Japan
The Oirase Mountain Stream is a valley water that flows from Lake Toda toward Aomori Prefecture. The 14 km section from Nenokuchi to Yakayama in Oirasegawa is called the Oirase Mountain Stream. It was designated as a scenic spot and natural monument along with Lake Toda in 1928, and was designated as a national park in Japan in 1936. It boasts such outstanding scenery that it was promoted to a special scenic spot and natural monument in 1952. In particular, the refreshing scenery in which the flow of fresh green streams in the summer is harmonized with the flow of autumn leaves on the water’s edge is beautiful, attracting the most visitors during this period. Along with the motorway, the trail is well-maintained along the mooring, so you can enjoy the lively beauty of the mooring and 14 waterfalls adjacent to it while enjoying the forest bathing.
