Moving Out Of Our Japanese Apartment + Start of a 3-Week Japan Road Trip

This summer we’ve already moved out of our apartment in Ishikawa Prefecture and started our road trip (with bikes) around Japan!
I wanted to share a bit about the moving process, how it differs from our moving experiences in the US, and give you a tour of our Japanese apartment. We’ll also enjoy a summer day by the Sai River, eat bread shaped like the cat bus in My Neighbor Totoro, and get a good luck totem from the Shirayama Hime shrine (白山比咩神社) for safety on our road trip. Follow along to see where we’re headed next!

  1. Wow! That's a much nicer apartment than I had on the JET programme. When we moved out, my wife said, "Finally my nightmare is over". Ha ha ha! (I loved it, though…) To be fair, we had skinks crawling around on the ceiling, and my wife once got bitten by a rat while she was sleeping. Also, no hot water… Real Showa era building. Looking forward to hear about the next stage in your adventure! Sometimes I despair that many JET participants don't appreciate the unique opportunity that they have. Watching your videos makes me so happy!
