会社操業の落ち込みに伴い、会社から急遽10日ほどの休みを頂けることとなりました。山陰を自転車旅行したことがなかったので、山口県湯田温泉から富山県富山駅目指して、長距離の自転車旅を開始します。1日目は自宅から山口県湯田温泉駅まで、自転車を輪行バックに入れて鉄道を用いた移動を行いました。自転車はマウンテンバイクで前輪後輪共にサスペンションがついており、ほんと重くって、自転車を担いで駅構内の移動は大変でした。この日の夜は、湯田温泉の西の雅常盤という女将劇場で有名なところに泊まりました。女将劇場を見て、女将から元気を貰えた気がしました。

Due to the decline in the company’s operations, the company gave us about 10 days off. I have never traveled to San’in area by bicycle, so I will start a long-distance bicycle trip from Yuda Onsen in Yamaguchi Prefecture to Toyama Station in Toyama Prefecture. On the first day, I took my bicycle from my home to Yuda Onsen station in Yamaguchi Prefecture, using a bicycle bag. In addition, my bicycle is a mountain bike, and its front and rear wheels have suspensions, so it was very heavy and it was difficult to carry the bicycle around the station yard. That night, I stayed at a famous hotel called Nishinomiyabi Tokiwa in Yuda Onsen. Looking at the landlord’s theater, I felt that the landlord was cheerful.
