Day 4 Morning: Okinawa island hopping cycling tour. Musubiya guesthouse. Hammock and Sanshin.

welcome to missu guest house in Naki Jin northern part of Okinawa Sam and I arrived here yesterday evening about 7:30 p.m. uh yesterday afternoon we departed from yordon Island by ferry with Sam Jessica and myself Jessica had to return back to work so Sam and I uh arrived back on the mainland about 4:40 or so cycled around the beautiful and my favorite sesoko island a tiny one and cycled up here I think we probably covered I don’t know 20 25 km so a pretty uh easy cycle in the morning yesterday I did a few more kilometers so maybe 30 km yesterday so a pretty easy day uh huge grassy area here at missia I’ve stayed here quite a few times over the last 2 and a half years I’ll take you on a a short tour um this place is really wellknown amongst Backpackers in Japan Theona ire has had this place for many many years um so this is the living room here this is our kenui Master k Master boxer hello living room lots of books dormatory room over there and down there is private rooms this is the beach view hammocks I just spent about half an hour that one uh big huge grassy area over there and we have the owner and some of the guests Up on the Roof there doing yoga at the moment I’m having a rest day today because we’ve cycled I don’t know close to 200 km already over the last 3 or 4 days you can see a little bit of yogur on the roof there uh so yeah I’m I’m having a bit of a chill day today we’re pro but today we’re probably going to cycle another 50 kilometers um so after about 10 and a half months of me doing no real cycling no real cardio just doing yoga and walking I’ve kind of thrown my body into this uh shock um which is kind of what I normally do all or nothing but I’m surprised at how well I’m holding up I’m surprised at how strong my cardio is uh my carbs are feeling it but overall uh it’s been a good thing and um I was talking to Sam yesterday and um I was reminded of a phrase it’s well not a phrase but a terminology that I converted into what we’re doing now and it is it’s better to stay strong fit and healthy than to try and regain your fitness and health in other words keep exercising body and mind and uh stay strong and fit uh it’s not so bad when you’re young but uh once you get into your 40s and 50s which I am now I think it gets harder and harder to get back into it so this was just a reminder for me uh to even though I’m pretty healthy for my age and I do yoga um five or six days a week to uh maintain fitness health and diet and don’t fall off the wagon basically uh that’s it so I think I’m going to stop there ciao
