Crawling Cycling Diary (13) From Okutama to Uenohara (Part 1)
The movie shows an old non-athletic cyclist crawling a mountain road. This time, I started from the Okutama, one of the most secluded town in Tokyo, to Uenohara city in Yamanashi prefecture. The first part covers “Okutama ancient path”, between Okutama station and the Okutama reservoir. It is an ancient path connecting villages, and shows different atmosphere from the paralleling National Road, which go through the mountains via many tunnels. The path is primarily for hikers, and some parts are nothing but hiking trail. Please take a look at another aspect of “metropolitan” Tokyo. It is still Tokyo – but very different from what most people think of.
