Lakes, rivers, marshlands, waterfalls, deep woods, mountain trails, wildflowers, and more—all can be enjoyed within a 10-kilometer (6-mile) sphere of activity here at The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko. Take advantage of our “Cycle’n Cruise” program and enjoy it all, first on a mountain bike and then from the deck of a chartered cruise across Lake Chuzenji. First, cycle a quiet 10-kilometer route through the fragrant oak and larch forest of Odashirogahara all the way to the Senjugahama pier at the western shore of the lake. Then, board the watercraft along with your bikes for a scenic cruise that takes in the splendor of Mount Nantai and the Hatcho Dejima Peninsula, renowned for the beauty of its fall foliage contrasted against the blue water. Disembark for a short ride back to the hotel. Two and a half hours from start to finish, the activity is a fine introduction to Okunikko’s deep and scenic natural beauty.
