I would like to update once a week, but depending on my physical condition and situation, there may be times when I am unable to do so.
So, in this video, we will head to the roadside station Hakko no Sato Kozaki, the last stop on the fourth day of the Chiba Prefectural roadside station tour. I will continue driving along National Route 356 along the Tone River. Now you can completely conquer the roadside stations in Chiba Prefecture!
As I would like to say, Roadside Station Green Farm Tateyama will have its grand opening on February 16, 2024. A few weeks after the video is released, complete conquest will no longer be possible. As I mentioned in the previous video, I would like to visit it as soon as possible.
Please enjoy the driving scenery. I arrived at the roadside station Hakko no Sato Kozaki. According to the book, there is a parking lot that can accommodate 23 large vehicles, 50 regular vehicles, and 2 vehicles for the disabled. The ratio of large cars to regular cars is large.
Isn’t there a place to park a bike? For the time being, I couldn’t find it, so I followed the bike that was running in front of me. As the name suggests, Kozaki Roadside Station Fermentation Village is a roadside station with the theme of fermentation, which is a thriving industry in kozaki Town.
The Ken-O Expressway can be seen in the distance. Kozaki Interchange is nearby. It is also a roadside station that is easily accessible from the expressway. The facilities here are fresh market and fermented market stores. There will be “Restaurant Orize” where you can eat, and “Cafe Hakko Sabo” where you can have light meals.
When I checked this sign, it appears that the place I parked was actually a motorcycle parking lot. There are a lot of cars parked in the motorcycle parking lot… Well, the opening hours of the facility are 9:00 to 18:00 for the fresh market and fermented market.
There was no regular holiday listed on the website, and the book said it was closed irregularly. The fresh market mainly sells vegetables and fresh fish delivered directly from Choshi Port. However, the fresh fish corner seems to be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
If Monday or Tuesday is a public holiday, the store will be closed the next day. The fermentation market is located a little further away. As mentioned in the Nobori Flag, there were Baumkuchen and spiced curry made with koji. I think it’s a good idea to buy famous sweets to buy as souvenirs here.
Further along is Restaurant Orize, whose business hours are 10:00 to 16:00 and is closed on Thursdays. Oryzae seems to be taken from Aspergillus oryzae. The menu seems to mainly consist of set meals such as fried foods using koji. There were also lunch boxes to take home.
I couldn’t tell you earlier because it wasn’t listed on the webpage, but when I checked the video, the last order was 3:30 pm. Going back a bit, there was a Family Mart next to the fresh market.
Naturally, it’s open 24 hours a day, so this roadside station is essentially open 24 hours a day. There is a cafe called Hakko Sabo next to Family Mart. Business hours are 10:00 to 16:00, closed on Wednesdays. Mainly desserts are sold. It was the roadside station Hakko no sato Kozaki.
Looking at the official website and other people’s websites, it seems like there was a Cessna here…but it wasn’t there when I visited on July 19, 2023. Why? With that in mind, this video ends. From next time onwards, I would like to share a tour of Saitama prefecture’s road stations.
