Zentralpyrenäen mit dem Motorrad | Pyrenäen Motorrad Tour (Teil 3) | 4K
Good morning It is now Monday morning. And yesterday we had another learning experience here in France. You really have to pay attention when you arrive somewhere here on a Sunday evening. The information at the hotel was “They don’t work here on Sundays.” That means,
We actually picked out a hotel in a slightly larger town, where you can still eat and drink something nice. And then we got here, it was around 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. And we thought everything was deserted here. There was really nothing going on here anymore.
And then she met us at the reception at the hotel I just said that she still has a place here where we could get something like that. And so we started running. We had to be there within 20 minutes. So just change quickly, don’t bother showering anymore
And then got something to eat again. That was really good again. It’s actually relatively common in France. But yes, such a learning definitely back from yesterday: In France you have to be a little earlier. There was also a lot of thunderstorms yesterday. That means the mopeds are a bit wet here.
It’s still quite cloudy here now, but I have a bit of hope when we leave, it’s also early around 7:00 a.m. that we might drive up the mountain somewhere and then suddenly the sun shines. We will see it straight away. So, here we go again. Everything is still a bit wet here now.
Because as I said, there was a lot of rain tonight, now really rattled down. Yesterday, when we came from our, came from our restaurant, which was real, It really was another event that you only have here in France. We ran the last few meters there,
Just to avoid the thunderstorm, which was really getting closer. The first drops were already falling. We met a nice couple in one restaurant, from Germany too, they came from Bavaria somewhere I don’t even know what their names were, but they were sitting right next to us at the table.
They were also in our hotel and they are somehow from Bavaria now. They’ve been there for almost a week on the go, it’s also nice with a moped drove here as a couple. They make it a little more comfortable. But I really always find it
Remarkable, how to be there as a pillion passenger can travel as many kilometers on the back of the motorcycle. For me that would be nothing at all. But apparently there are people who think that’s a good thing now. I’d rather drive myself.
To be honest, I always find it a bit on the back of the motorcycle, a bit scary. Ah… now we’re passing directly by our restaurant, Where we were yesterday was right next to the church behind this church somewhere you can’t really see it now was in the back.
As I said, it was quite good and it was far and wide here. The only thing that’s still open. It’s just unbelievable that it’s apparently Sunday in France There are no tourists around because you just can’t get anything there. So the navigation system is somehow going crazy.
We have to get out of the city first and then we’ll see each other again soon. What he doesn’t know at this point… In the first part of today’s tour Unfortunately we can’t get rid of this wet weather. We will drive over some wonderful passes,
However, the view of the landscape around us will remain hidden from us a few times. But that’s just part of it every now and then. What the hell? What counts now is a good French breakfast. And look what we found here. That looks good. A small bakery here. It could be really good
Let’s take a look at this. These are actually the best bakeries if you can find such a small thing here. Most of the time everything will be fine here. I don’t think everything here is freshly baked. But yeah, that looks pretty good. We’ll find something here. Käffchen. So it goes on…
Now we had an okay breakfast. Not quite as good as in this little bakery on the Route des Grandes Alpes but it was okay and was right on track. Due to this We can now drive here into the mountains well fortified, Because it is very questionable whether you will find anything there again.
When you’re a little bit higher. It was sometimes very lonely there. So everything is good. And now it’s really starting. We continued past the southern town of Laruns towards East, here in Eaux-Bonnes, which incidentally means “good water”. and which we will get a lot of today,
We start our first pass of the day. It was only now when I was editing the video that I realized again which pass we can only enjoy to a very limited extent here. The pass that lies in front of us belongs to one one of the most beautiful stretches of the Central Pyrenees.
These are the Col d’Aubisque and the one after it Col de Soulor Yes, we’re going up our first pass. That looks really good too. Except that the road here is unfortunately still really wet. Otherwise you could drive up here quite easily. So we really have to do it a little cautiously here.
But what I see on the navigation system looks really, really good. And they actually last Modern tires yes, surprisingly good in the rain. But I still don’t really trust the whole thing. I would like to write in the comments how you did it what your experiences are like.
I would probably have to do one of those curves Do training on wet roads or something like that. I think there is something like that too that you can see the wet condition or the the properties are correct when wet can test to the limit to really feel when it’s over. But
It’s always something that doesn’t really bother me Now we go into the clouds and hopefully through the clouds. When we’re up there. That would be pretty cool. We will see 1,235 meters and if I saw correctly, At the bottom it goes up to 1,700 meters, so another 500 meters. Let’s drive
Let’s go up. It could work. Now there is cloud cover a little bit thinner here. Some of it hasn’t even been seen anymore. It was very, very, very, very foggy. Cloudy is a bit of a shame. I think things are looking really good here. But this view remains with us unfortunately denied here.
There is animal poop on the street again. That means we have to be careful again. It’s not like there’s suddenly a cow or a horse on the street again. Apparently you can do it here again now be possible again. Here the horses are again. Look at them. I think we’re at the top.
Yes, unfortunately, Unfortunately you can’t see anything except horses. Yes, unfortunately there is cloud cover but a little thicker here, as I had hoped. Now drive back down. Bit of a shame. Looked good up there, but also with the drone There was no sign of any height.
So it’s nice and quiet to get back down. Hoping there aren’t any horses standing around. And maybe it’s the same on the next pass then a little clearer. But there is hardly any wind here. Of course that is also a problem.
If winter is missing, the clouds will always be there for a while. But here, The sun comes through a bit here. We arrived at the next pass. Unfortunately there is still total fog here. Really annoying, but you can’t do anything here. But it would definitely look very, very nice.
And that is of course a reason to come back here at some point and do it again in the sunshine and with a clear view. So, we arrived back down in the valley. Here the view is given again. But unfortunately yes. The two passports,
That we just crossed would definitely have been pretty good. But really now. Damage damage, Chocolate. Now we drive here, over there and you can see a little bit there… now you can’t quite see it. But I’ve seen a few small peaks in the distance, maybe that’s where it is
Already pulled up a little further. That’s a bit of a shame. René is in the mood for a coffee still, which is really rare. And here it is actually actually still a baker. And now there is a coffee. This is a brasserie,
A brewery and not a boulangerie, which would have been a bakery I realized quite quickly. It was all the more exciting to see what happened here in a tiny family brewery The finest ales are brewed and bottled in English style. These are only available here in selected restaurants.
We really wanted to have a tasting, so we met but decided to have a coffee. Now I look at the map here. We now take a turn to the right, again into a valley or a gorge. I do not know exactly.
I looked it up on the computer. We say that in a very cool way. But it will be a dead end thing where we get out of it in the end and then turn left somewhere here again. We had to refuel because we were in this dead end
There is certainly no gas station and the gas station network… I just had me on Instagram… two three already had me People wrote to me about what it looks like here and whether they can get along and that works quite well with the Versys anyway,
But also with the Diavel, which has a slightly smaller tank. If you really take advantage of the opportunity and look for a gas station in time, it’s actually not a problem. Every now and then you come to towns that are a little bit like that are bigger where
Also a small gas station then can be found. There’s still snow up there, the first snow we see here on the tour. So that has to be a little bit higher. We are now at 1,200 meters and I’m really excited to see where it takes us. I did this route partly last year
Already planned because we actually wanted to in April last year already drive here, which didn’t happen and that’s why there are just a few points here on the tour, which of course I watched again and also changed a little here and there.
But there are a few points where I’m really not sure what it was anymore. And this is one of them. But I think I already thought of something. Wow, all the waterfalls come down here and the weather is looking here, now it’s getting slow. What a mega view here and a hairpin curve,
Which I almost overlooked. From here The sunny part of the day finally begins. From Luz-Saint-Sauveur we headed south in the Cirque de Gavarnie, a rock cairn with a diameter of around two kilometers, which is around 1,700 meters Height on the French-Spanish border. The mountains surrounding it rise
More than 1,500 meters above the bottom of the basin. This rock basin is best known for the Gavarnie Falls which has a total fall height of 422 meters are among the highest waterfalls in Europe. But we are interested in much more. The Col de Tentes. This cul-de-sac that led via Cirque de Gavarnie
And rises to the 2,210 meter high summit. Is a real pleasure. After the many kilometers in the fog and rain You can probably imagine what a pleasure it is, to climb the Col de Tentes via this wonderful road. Finally without rain on dry roads and with this incredible view of the surrounding three-thousanders.
And since I know some of you like it too, To just listen to the sound of the engine, let’s skip the music for now. Sit back and listen to the four-cylinder sound of the Versys1000SE and enjoy these fabulous pictures all the way to the top. What an epic look here.
How these clouds are coming up. This looks so cool. Super nice here. Ski lifts also go up here in any case. Look out, there are sheep here. The colleague just lays down just in the middle of the street. It’s so hot. All the buddies are lying somewhere on the edge. But what…
Looks like it we would have reached the top. The road ends here And you can only continue on foot. Super beautiful!

Weiter so !🤩👍👍👍
