EL CHOCÓ 🇨🇴 VIAJE a la COLOMBIA MÁS AFRO en la R1300 GS | Episodio 243 – Vuelta al Mundo en Moto
Partners and partners… I returned to Colombia! To two things, the first: To collect an award in Barichara where I was named ambassador of the people to the world. The second: Let’s test this vehicle. The BMW 1300 GS, which is incredible.
It is popular that I fall in love with this country, here I feel in high vibration, I notice how my eyes shine and above all, I notice how my soul and my body expand. I will leave Medellín, I will go to Chocó, I will return to the mountain range to Risaralda.
I will celebrate life at the Cali fair and I will finish in Buenaventura and the Uramba Bahía Málaga National Park. This country is infinite and I want to continue having infinite experiences in it. So, say no more. Welcome to a new episode of SoyTribu in the coffee nation. Enjoy it! Let’s go!
Here in the bowels of the Antioquia neighborhood of Medellín a new journey through the coffee country is coming. For me, being in Colombia is being at home. And with this piece of motorcycle that
BMW Autogermana has left me, which is not even on the market yet, which does not even have a license plate… But hey, I know that here the path opens in all aspects and I have no doubt that that this is going to go wonderfully. Welcome to Colombia again!
Coming soon adventure in the crash. Let’s go! I have great memories of when I passed by here and saw that mountain that looks like a pyramid… Someday I want to walk up it. This natural pyramid is Cerro Tusa, a sentinel of the path that seems to
Want to stitch together the clarity of the sky. This was the path that worked for me. But today I’m going to try to win. In the vicinity of the Cauca River there is a mule route that crosses the mountain to reach Jericó known as “The Cabin Route.”
In the year 2020, Google Maps wrongly led me here and I failed miserably. On this occasion I chose the route on purpose with the aim of resignifying the past. Resignifying the past is very important to live better in the present
And sow a better future. When I did this route I had very little idea, I was very loaded, and sometimes the feeling that I was not going to make it took over me. Maybe I didn’t trust myself that much yet. However, now some things have changed.
And since I know that it is a somewhat complicated route, I not only want to redefine my past, but at the same time I want to try this bike as soon as possible. My wish would be fulfilled immediately: An inclined and cobbled route to begin
To get to know a motorcycle that will mark a milestone in the world of Maxi-trail. I don’t want to scratch the bike, please. I think it’s passing through here. Come on! Sorry BMW team, I take the first hit. Go to the second hour.
I have learned some things, but others are difficult for me. In my defense I will argue that since it was a motorcycle at the end of its testing period, the tires were completely broken and worn. However, there is no evil that does not come with good. I quickly realized that because
The boxer engine protrudes from the sides, the bike doesn’t lean back as much as mine does. This bike lifts up much easier, eh? But what has happened? What was that? That smoke can only be… Oil in the cylinder! What a wonderful life! And more in Colombia! Go Go! I think this time…
I’m going to make it. Of course, the bike is responding wonderfully well. And it gives me great satisfaction to be able to do today what I couldn’t do yesterday. And I’ll fall again! It’s part of riding a motorcycle and part of life too. Things that happen! The goat goes towards the mountain.
Being the goat that I am, night fell on the mountain, which I crossed impressed by the light power of the motorcycle and guided by that primitive intuition that makes you reach a safe place. Well, after a few vicissitudes I head towards the second technical stop before Chocó, an Embera Chamí indigenous community.
Because you have to visit grandparents. Colombia is not only the most biker country, but it is also the most cyclist country. There is a passion for two wheels here, whatever form it may take. That is cute! It’s getting dark, the route is delicious, they’re waiting for me… …some beautiful people. -See you later!
For a long time I thought about whether my head had idealized my experience here. And no! Every time I come back, I reconfirm it! I LOVE YOU COLOMBIA! Loving to be back, I went along the trail that goes from Jericó to Andes until I reached the Kármata Rúa indigenous community. -Grandmother! Grandmother!
—Tomorrow I have a long route to Chocó, towards Quibdó. —Ah! And how far do you have to travel? —From there to Cali. —Ah! —To the fair, grandmother. Let’s dance a little salsa. Although I’m not very good. Do you dance salsa? -No! I hope, son! -That is what I say! Hopefully!
—I wish I knew how to dance salsa! Grandma Lucía doesn’t know how to dance salsa but she does know how to make some very beautiful crafts. However, he told me that it is difficult for him to sell them because in Medellín there is too much competition. If anyone wants to help her:
Please contact this email: alvarezmarcealejandra@gmail.com —May you continue to be so tender and sweet! With each year you turn, you get even better. Please know that you and people like you are one of the big reasons why I return to Colombia. Mission accomplished. And now we are going to Chocó.
The dream continues to be fulfilled, reality continues to be created. Creating the belief that wanting is power, I finally took the route that in 2020, due to a landslide and an armed strike by the ELN, I was unable to do. -That’s wrong? -Very hot. -About what? From the guerrilla? -Yeah.
-Oh really? Do you recommend that I return? -I think so. Chocó is located to the left of the Western Cordillera. And all I’m doing right now is going down from the mountain range into the jungle. We have arrived at Tutunendo. We are in Chocó. -Hello! -How are we?
—Are you like Alan in the world? —But instead of Alan, Agustín. -Agustin! Ah! OK OK! —The people are kind, just as you see now. —He likes beer… —Exactly! Exact! And they also really like to share them. Which, they didn’t take long to propose.
-We drank some beers? —We are in the days of beer. —Beer days are every day, according to my father. In the heat of a fire that would cook the traditional Chocoan cake I began to know the character of the people of these lands first hand.
—People have fun every day, every weekend to de-stress. —I am fascinated by plants, I am fascinated by cleanliness because this is the most beautiful thing. You have to be clean, neat, where you live, where you surround yourself, where you are with people, it must be clean, organized, everything very nice.
—The Chocoano is a very brutal person because sustaining himself here is very difficult. And yet we know how to sustain ourselves. —Ignorant people call me crazy, but God knows I’m not crazy. Because being clean is not crazy. Crazy people are those who throw garbage on the street,
They don’t pick it up, those are crazy people. They live in disorder. —We are joy, we are biodiversity. We emanate a lot of positive energies. -In the ship! —It suits you very well! -Thank you! Thank you! This is what you call a good welcome! —Well, family… Thank you for everything! Merry christmas!
Incredible! One hour in Chocó and everything has happened to me. I knew that in Chocó life is more life. Well, welcome to Quibdó, where trucks eat up the lane. If you tell me that I am in deep Africa I will tell you 100% yes.
I have always said that Colombia is several countries in one. You are seeing that it is true, right? Well, Quibdó has movement. Quibdó has high voltage. He’s here with the beam on top of the motorcycle. You don’t see it in Colombia on a motorcycle…
For what these people are normal, for me it is truly crazy. It always depends on how much we normalize or relativize something, right? There must be a lot of partying here at night. There must be a lot of partying here. I hope to be a part of one.
-Friend! One question, is there a good party here tonight? —There where it says “The pink zone.” —I’m going tonight! See you later! How easy it is to figure things out. Questions and that’s it! Just as I asked the Jke of Crew Peligrosos for any contacts in the area,
Who gave me the one from El Murcy, who in turn gave me the one from Edwin Rengifo. —I’ve only been there for a while and I already love your land, huh. —This is the Atrato River, the river subject to law.
We want to rescue it, we want to recover it because this river has been affected by mining. It is one of the rivers that gives us the most fish. The Atrato River is the largest in Chocó. —Here’s to the God Bacchus and also to the God Cupid. For this berraco world…
Joy is the fruit of the seed people that populate this fertile land. Chocó is a whirlwind of electric humanity. Africa in Colombia. Spiral vibration. Raw spontaneity. Traveling here is being filled with life. That’s why I travel and that’s why I came. To give life to life.
That life knows what you throw at it. If you add bitterness to it, it tastes bitter. If you add sweet to it, it tastes sweet. And what you are happens to you. If you treat others well, they treat you well. If you treat them badly, too. —For Chocó! —For Chocó!
—It keeps you well, it keeps you alive. —Quibdó is a city where many African-American or black people live. We are hot by nature. We make a rumba, a party, out of everything. And well, this is a joy. And much more I enjoyed meeting the creator of the legendary song “La vamo’ a tumbá”.
Every project and everything you do, ground it, in a context. The community is what makes us great, not famous, because fame passes, recognition remains. I don’t just make music to move my feet, but I also make music with a purpose,
To move consciousness. To the extent that we understand that, I believe that we generate more transformation, growth and integral development for each and every one of the nations. And that’s what matters. —Is this motorcycle for traveling the world? —What if this motorcycle is for traveling the world? -Yeah. -Of course.
-Yeah? —But not only this one, also the others. The other worlds too! —But what about the others? To travel the Earth I mean. -Yes Yes Yes. I mean, the internal and external world. —But what is the internal world? —The internal world is one’s own. The spirit! —Ah, now!
The Chocó! What a great success to have come. It was December 24th and no matter who I spoke to, I always got a wide smile in return. —Let’s see if I can get a crown like yours. —Have a good start to the year! -Equal! You too!
—I have loved your land, people have to come here more so that one can be infected with joy and happiness. -Yeah. Where are you from? -From Spain. —Ah, Spain! —But almost half Colombian now. —I am Tribe! -Hello! -Oh! I knew I knew you! I am Tribe! —Different bike, same spirit. -That is!
And in the spirit of joy, I said goodbye to Chocó to go to the Cali fair. I took the route from Tadó to Apía, the municipality of Risaralda from which I would take dirt roads and then return to the plain and finally reach the capital of Valle del Cauca.
—Great bike, friend! —Or the motorcycle or a coin? That is the deal? —The motorcycle, the motorcycle! —I think the coin. -No! The motorcycle, the motorcycle! —No, you don’t even reach the ground, friend. —If I leave it to you, what are you going to do with it? —When he grows up, learn.
-The coin! -No! The motorcycle! -The motorcycle? So what do I do? Are you going to leave me without a motorcycle on Christmas Day? -It’s a gift. —The gift is what I’m going to tell you now. I love Chocó. Thank you so much! In the remote territories of Colombia, other realities coexist alongside joy.
Which, I was reminded of by the high presence of the army. —I come from the Quibdó route and I am seeing a lot of military presence. It is to know how the area is, public order. —Everything is fine, thank God. —Oh, I mean, is it a routine presence?
-Yes of course. -Ready! I stay calmer. Merry christmas! See you later! Everything was going perfectly, when suddenly… —Have you seen a camera fall here? -No. —Hasn’t anything fallen? -No. —I was carrying a camera here but I dropped it. —He must have fallen further back. -But?
—I’ll see if I can find it! Thank you! Is that? Tell me what this is, please Yes! God! Hello! Hello! So much vibration broke the camera support, but fate wanted it both to be recovered and to arrive in Apía, department of Risaralda. —What a beautiful motorcycle!
-Thank you very much sir! —May God protect him! -And you too! Merry christmas! -Thank you! There is supposed to be a path on the right here… —Hello! Hello good! I’m heading to La Celia… —Yes, this is where it goes. —And is the road good? -Yes Yes. -Ave Maria! Let’s move forward!
We have the blessing of this man. No one has given me this route, I have invented it by looking at the map because I want a special December 24th. Let’s see what we find! I’m going among pure coffee plantations. I’m in the land of coffee. Look up here! There is pure coffee!
The farmers who pick that must have good legs… Although coffee is currently grown mainly in tropical countries such as Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia, the plant is native to the province of Kaffa, current Ethiopia, where it grows wild. I had a hunch, something told me that this route was going to be wonderful.
One of the things that is most developed while traveling is instinct. The instinct to be different, to get out of the way marked as unique. That is, make yours the only one. Add feeling to every second, the excitement of exploring the external and internal world…
Even exploring the Underworld a little. Be a voluntary homeless person. There are those who could call it bizarre, I don’t do this for pay. They pay me, yes. But they pay me because it’s extraordinary. You have to sacrifice something else, assume the costs of being on stage,
Recording yourself and accepting the surprises that the road can bring you. This art is not to entertain you, it is to bring you experiences and judgments. It is by imagining different realities, developing collective consciousness,
Not being a mere entity. There are so many people who want to convince you… For me, traveling is the best remedy. Do you want some? Come with me. Don’t even believe what I teach, acquire your own truth, draw your own reality.
Acquire peace, tranquility and well-being. The best things in life are the simplest. For me, traveling and not crashing is normal, it is the only thing my soul asks for. LET’S GO! Ladies and gentlemen… Welcome to Cali! -Brother! -Teacher! —Master of disaster! —Oh, brother! —We are alive, brother! —We are alive, brother!
Many of you have asked when this character was going to return to an episode… Today is the day, my dear Simón. -Excellent! —I thought the journey was a circle but teacher told me that it is a spiral. -Health! Merry Christmas, brother! How nice to have you here, brother!
—Cali for me is a feminine energy. Cali is also a vibrant city. It vibrates, it makes itself felt. Transmits your social emotions. Andrés Caicedo also said that it was like a [__]. And that’s why he always returned to his city. I feel familiar with its streets,
With its games, with its smiles, with the hugs of the people. —Thank you for existing, brother! —Thank you for existing! And in our common existence, we share a little of the famous Cali fair. —The Cali fair is a gift to salsa. The salsa rhythm… I don’t remember…
What most of us remember is that getting together with Simón is synonymous with adventure. And on this occasion, Buenaventura, a city to which we would go not by the paved road, but by an old road, a route that Simón had been talking about for years.
And of course, when the river sounds, it carries water. Just like when a road is abandoned, wild nature eats it up. Just like when there is a camouflaged log, you may earn some bruises. —Every good adventure has a risk.
