【島根旅3日】初めての島根で美肌名湯から松江出雲まで定番観光!絶対また行きたい!

Welcome to Yunotsu Onsen Big signboard From Onomichi, through Shimanami sea route. “Yamanami Kaido” Entering Shimane Prefecture via “Yamanami Kaido” Our first place is Yunotsu Onsen. The World heritage site, Iwami Ginzan is near here And it is designated including this Onsen area. So Yunotsu town is also World Heritage Site.

Only this hot spring resort in Japan is designated. At the entrance, there is “Yuyukan”, There’s a free parking lot. It’s recommended to park there and hang around. But it’s raining a bit today, so we’ve come directly to the parking lot of the spa. This spa seems amazing! Where was it?

It’s “Yakushi Yu.” Shimane prefecture, is famous for beautiful skin spas And this spa is expected as the best! Isn’t the expected value high? The quality seems to be super high. I’m really looking forward to it. Let’s just go to the hot springs. You know, it stopped raining.

What does it mean to park here? Wow, awesomely retro. This whole town roofs are made of stone tiles. Smell of hot spring Really. This place is famous, too. But we’re going over here This is the “Yakushi Yu” This is where I wanted to come It’s like old traditional Japanese.

This spa is rated “All 5” by the Japan Hot Springs Association. The source is free-flowing hot-spring water. Since Iya valley? Yup. But something maybe surprisingly different. I hope so. God, it felt so good. It was so hot. I couldn’t get in at first.

I had to dip my toes in to get used to it. But it was, totally different. I felt a tremendous component. The smoothness, hot water flowers, This is an amazing hot spring. I really put a lot of it on my face. I wish to come here every day. And the high temperature,

Warmed me up from the inside. No need of shampoo here. The hot spring will wash away the dirt. Awesome. That’s great. That felt good. I can’t stop sweating How many times did you go in? More than five times. Its recommended to repeat going in & out per 2~3 minutes.

I liked the time sitting on the side relaxing beside the bathtub Made by natural stone That’s amazing. I felt the history. Let’s go to the observation point up there. I like talking to others at public spas. It’s fun, isn’t it? One told me “Mimata no Yu” another Onsen area is awesome too.

The types of spa seems totally different. I’m curious about that. You know, this is an inn too, isn’t it? Oh, a nice garden. You can relax here after bath. Retro like. You can see the Sekishu roof tiles. Nice. We re-parked at the Yuyukan, which I mentioned earlier,

To go for a little stroll now. The weather’s getting a little better. Here… It’s a port. Yunotsu Port. The silver from Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine used to carry it out from here. How small it is. Look at this raccoon dog. It’s cute. The hot springs here seems to be discovered,

Because raccoons were bathing in hot springs. There is a famous theory. Raccoons liked the spas too. To heal their wounds? Maybe. Rare information obtained! I just heard now, this post is extremely valuable! Normal posts, you know This is in a straight line. But this one is slanted, and the reason is

Originally, this one was standing on the bend in the road So to make it easier to use, for postmans It’s made at an angle. Front to make it easier to put in When you take it out, because it’s curved Its must be easy for the postman. Thats all. And it somehow moved here.

And the interesting thing is that This hot spring building was built in 1954 The year this post was also born Same age. A coincidence. I just casually walked by but didn’t even recognize it. But now I can see. I need to broaden my horizons. haha Interesting, when you notice.

Now we’re going to the cafe next door. Inside, it’s really nice. This was originally a bath facility. It was renovated. Now it’s a café. Take a look at the ceiling. Just as it was when this was a spa. I was just told about this. This is where it’s been since Taisho period.

Separate bat for men and women. Nice renovation. I like this place too. Very good This atmosphere. And it’s so nice over there. A hot spring inn is right in front of it. The road around here is nice. And the floor is so stylish. Maybe it’s a remnant of a hot spring? Maybe.

It’s like a tile. Amazing. We’re now heading to Iwami Ginzan. The World Heritage Site, too. A huge silver mine. At first, I thought it would be a short walk from the parking lot. But actually a 45 minutes walk to get there. We have our bicycles, so taking this one.

You can rent a bike, too. It seems to be recommended. Most people seem to use bikes. And there’s also a tuk-tuk. I didn’t know you can’t take car. No cars are allowed in the protected area. Candies. It was yummy. With Okinawan brown sugar Coated soybeans. Nice snack for our journey.

All stores here are so quaint like this. The hairdresser’s shop was amazing. Yeah, the signs were cute. We’re here! From here, walking a bit. About 300 meters to go. World Heritage, Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine Ryugenji Mabu. Is that really how you read it? Yeah, I just learned it. Now copper, silver,

The second mine. There lasts the gold mine. Let’s go. It’s pretty low. This goes on for 600 meters. At Besshi Copper Mine, There was slanting roads, Some were stretching from roads digging down. Maybe it’s the same here? This is a straight line. We are here Now we’ve walked down this path

A narrow one. There were many of them. I thought it was more wide. “Mabu” number 517 What do you think a “Mabu” is? I just saw that. Yeah, just the mine shaft. You mean the 517th mine, right? That’s right. So this means there are bunch of them.

Maybe not all of them successed. Still a lot of narrow holes You know, Its not that big, I guess they were digging around many, different places. Maybe. Not much places to look around this time. It was so short. But a good study We haven’t been to much heritage sites,

Coming here is a learning experience in itself. It’s like a spa town around here. There are a lot of traditional Japanese inns. The one in the back is quite impressive. It is amazing. Great. I wanted to stay there. It looks like there are footbaths along this river. Thinking of taking footbaths first.

The hot springs… we went to Yunotsu yesterday, so I thought to pass today. This Tamatsukuri is one of 3 major hot springs in Japan, right? Yes, but depends on the theory. I was thinking of just taking the footbaths Feels good. Just right, for cold feet. This slightly tepid water

There seems to be other footbaths too. The spring seems to be a footbath of lotion. Components are as lotion. It’s better to use it. Gradient Bridge, that’s definitely it. It’s got a really big one on it. Cute. Wow, so big. The emphasis. This town is the largest producer of gradient balls in Japan

Behind me is an inn called “Chorakuen” Has the largest mixed open-air bath in Japan. Can’t you get in today? No, it was not for daily visitors. I wish I could get in. But instead, I’m thinking of going to the footbath right there. There’s a footbath in the river How’s that? Its super hot!

Well it feels good when touching by hand, nice temperature, but when I put my feet in, A little too much. It says 64 degrees Celsius. I didn’t think it’s that hot at first. But this view is really nice. A little bit like this. Oh my! My foot-resting stone. But okay.

Footbath warms you up. I didn’t notice this. So it’s in the shape of a gradient. Oh, it is. So that’s why everyone was touching this. To Adachi Museum. Now, we’re going around Matsue Castle. Going cycling to see the sunset. This is called Lake Shinji. Famous for sunset. It’s pretty much beautiful, now.

I’m looking forward to the evening. Now watching the sunset, and having the take-away food That’s from a restaurant called Seiyo-Ken. Pork cutlet. It’s one of Matsue specialty. Popular gourmet food. Since we’re here, we got one. Nice to eat it while watching the sunset. Since the bicycle, it probably leaned. Oh, it looks delicious!

It’s leaning a little bit. But good, better than I thought. Looks so good! I’m a little out of drinks, but let’s eat. Oh, it’s sinking. Itadakimasu. Can I start from the middle? Demi type. Delicious. Ketchup demi sauce! Good. The interior of the restaurant was stylish. For to-go, so I couldn’t see much.

It was very stylish. It would have been nice to eat inside. But it’s delicious. In front of the best view.

  1. 石見銀山も 歴史的保存建造物 世界遺産に登録されてから観光客が増えました。それ以前は 廃校にパネルが飾られているだけの錆びれた観光地でしたが、駐車場は整備され 道路も綺麗になりましたね。
